This is more and more a photographic diary I think ... ?

I am amazed -- it learned so much this past weekend. Matilda is a fantastic teacher and I just simply love the fact that I actually was able to compose the picture below.
I have never "planned" or "staged" a picture before - nor have I wanted to tell a story in this way.  Using a tripod was also kind of new to me.  Here it was used as a tool to compose - not only to keep steady.  VERY VERY inspiring indeed!  Thank you Fotografiska Museet!

I am on a ROLL!

At Last -- Started and Finished a Drawing

The first one in AAAAGES:
'

This little ditty was crafted in bed in about 10-15 minutes after having it in my bag (the to-do-bag) for  at least 2 months. Saw the picture on-line first, either Chinese or Japanese.  Could not resist trying to re-create it. The original was ink - this is pencil.
Nice to be back!

Dang That was difficult...

(what was difficult - you might ask? well, it was night, pitch dark, I have a tripod, a good wide angle lens, a good camera and set the whole shebang to 13 sec, f/11 and 13 mm. did not hear the autofocus due to traffic, and could not focus manually due to darkness)

Let there be light!

Going thru Scott Kelbys Photoshop book.. yepp he has the tricks -- but simply writes too many words. Phew. It is however, interesting
how cropping a picture kind of makes it more interesting. I do not know if you agree - but I do like the coloring of this one, to the left.

I still do not understand this thing about masking, and multiplicity layers. Mechanically I can do it, but Scott does not really give any explanations.  I do not know about you, but I do not remember unless I understand why.
Is it only me?

Besides that, it is mushy, muddy and cold outside. I SHOULD have studies Tibetan, but have only mastered pfutzing around with courses (that is what I work with), business calls and photoshop.
I am happy to announce that I will go on a PS course one evening soon at Scandianvian Photo.  Hopefully it will be good and helpful.  It supposedly is all about layers and masking. NEED it!

Ok - bye for now.
